About the role
Every bill a Ledgerly customer pays and every card payment they approve runs through our payments platform. You will join the five-person team that owns it, from ACH and wire submission to reconciliation with the ledger.
The next year is about speed and reach: same-day ACH for every customer, payouts in 30 currencies and a retry engine that never pays the same bill twice.
Responsibilities
Design and ship ACH, wire and card settlement services
Own retries and reconciliation so every payment lands once
Work with risk and compliance on limits, holds and audit trails
Review code, write design docs and mentor two engineers
Join a one-in-six on-call rotation, with a paid day off after
Requirements
Six years in backend systems, two of them in payments
Deep knowledge of relational databases and transactions
Experience with ACH, wires or card networks, or keen to learn
Clear writing across engineering, product and finance
Based in the US, in New York or remote
