FAQ
Getting started
Ledgerly is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts and cards are provided by our FDIC-insured partner banks, and Ledgerly builds the software you use to manage them.
Most teams finish the application in about ten minutes. We usually approve accounts within one business day, and many are approved and issuing cards in under an hour.
Yes. You can link outside bank accounts through Plaid to see their balances next to your Ledgerly account, and move money between them by ACH whenever you need to.
Ledgerly syncs with Xero and QuickBooks Online on every plan. Transactions, receipts, bills and invoice payments post with the categories you mapped when you set up the sync.
There are no fees for card purchases in US dollars or for ACH transfers. International card purchases carry a 1% foreign transaction fee, and outgoing wires cost $10.
Yes. The Core plan is free for up to three users and five virtual cards, with no time limit. You can upgrade to Team or Scale whenever you need more users, cards or approval rules.
Cards and invoices
Virtual cards are ready the moment you create them and can be used online or added to Apple Pay and Google Pay. Physical cards ship within one business day and arrive in three to five.
Yes. Every invoice includes a secure payment link where customers can pay by card, ACH or wire. Card payments carry a 2.9% processing fee, which you can pass on or absorb.
Forward supplier bills to your unique Ledgerly inbox address or upload a PDF. Ledgerly reads the vendor, amount and due date and creates a draft bill for someone to approve.
The forecast combines your bank balances, open invoices, scheduled bills and payroll data. You can add manual entries for expected income or large purchases.
Yes. You can upload past transactions, vendors and open invoices from a CSV file, and on Team and Scale plans our onboarding team will handle larger imports for you.
Plans and billing
Yearly plans are billed once upfront and cost about 17% less than paying monthly. Team comes to $288 a year and Scale to $768 a year, and you can switch to yearly at any time.
You can upgrade at any time and the new features are available right away. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, and your data and cards stay as they are.
A user is anyone who can sign in to your Ledgerly account, including cardholders, approvers and bookkeepers. Removing a user frees the seat immediately.
Monthly plans are not refunded for partial months, but you can cancel at any time. Yearly plans can be refunded in full within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked.
Registered nonprofits receive 30% off Team and Scale plans, billed monthly or yearly. Send your organization’s details to our sales team and we will apply the discount within a day.
We charge plan fees to your Ledgerly account balance by default. You can also pay with a credit card or by ACH from another bank, and change the method in your billing settings.
Security and data
Deposits are held at FDIC-insured partner banks. Through a sweep network across several banks, eligible balances are insured up to $5 million per business.
All data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.2 or higher in transit. Access to production systems is limited to a small team, logged and reviewed by security every quarter.
Yes. Ledgerly completes a SOC 2 Type II audit every year. Customers can request the latest report and a summary of our penetration tests under NDA from account settings.
Freeze the card in the app and new charges are declined immediately. You can then cancel it and issue a replacement virtual card in seconds, with the same limits and rules.
